COMPOSITION :

Each 5ml ( teaspoonful ) contains : Terpenless Dill seed oil 2.3 mg.

Sodium bicarbonate 52.5 mg.

DESCRIPTION :

Gripe water is a safe solution contain Dill seed oil which is a natural substance , it is effective in

treatment of flatulence and colic in children and infants.

INDICATIONS :

Gripe Water is used to relieve griping pain in children and infants or flatulence due to trapped air in the

abdomen and used to relieve digestion disorders.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION :

Infants until 1 month old : 2.5 ml (half teaspoonful).

Infants from 1- 6 months old : 5ml (one teaspoonful).

Infants from 6 months - one year : 10 ml ( two teaspoonfuls).

Children one year old and above : 10 - 15 ml (two - three teaspoonfuls).

* The dose can be given during or after feeding up to 6 times daily.

Contraindications

- Hypersensitivity to the ingredients.

- Patients with kidney problems.

Precautions

Do not give the child while vomiting.

DRUG INTERACTIONS :

No drug interactions have been reported till now .

ADVERSE EFFECTS :

No side effects have been reported after taking this product, if undesirable effects appeared stop using and

consult a doctor.

OVERDOSAGE :

Symptoms of overdosage : Due to the effect of sodium bicarbonate diarrhea may appear and

hypernatraemia symptoms which include drowsiness, irritability, pyrexia and tachypnea also appear. In

more severe cases ,signs of dehydration and convulsions may occur.

Treatment of overdosage : solution should be given to compensate the dehydration. Monitoring the

electrolytes and circulatory and central nervous systems should be done.

Store below 30°C, in a cool place.
