COMPOSITION
Each 10 ml of Multivit Shiba syrup contains:
Vitamin A 2400 I.U.
Vitamin D3 200 I.U.
Vitamin E 2 mg.
Vitamin B1 2 mg.
Vitamin B2 2 mg.
Vitamin B3 10 mg.
Vitamin B5 4 mg.
Vitamin B6 1 mg.
Vitamin C 100 mg.
Calcium 14.2 mg.
DESCRIPTION
Multivit Shiba syrup is a balanced preparation of essential vitamins designed to supplement the daily diet and support overall health. It helps to prevent combined vitamin deficiencies that can occur when dietary intake is insufficient.
INDICATIONS
Multivit Shiba is used as dietary supplement in the following conditions:
- Loss of appetite, hypovitaminosis and poor eating habits.
- Anorexia after a brief illness.
- Tonic for children and adolescents during the growing phase.
- Fatigue and lack of concentration.
- To promote development and growth in children.
- To strengthen the immune system.
- To improve mental and physical effort.
- To improve bones and teeth formation.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
- Children 1-5 years: 10-15 ml daily.
- Children 6 years and older & Adults: 15-20 ml daily.
RESTRICTION ON USE
Contraindications
Do not take Multivit Shiba if you:
- Are allergic to any of the components of the syrup.
- Have high levels of calcium in your blood (hypercalcemia) or urine (hypercalciuria).
Precautions
- Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have kidney stones or sarcoidosis (Boeck's disease).
- Harmless yellow discoloration of the urine may occur due to the Vitamin B2 content.
Use in Pregnancy & Lactation
Normal doses are generally safe during pregnancy. However, overdoses of Vitamin A may cause birth defects. During breastfeeding, the vitamins will pass into breast milk. Consult your doctor before using this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Effect on the Ability to Drive or Use Machines
Multivit Shiba has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medicines, especially:
- Other Vitamin A or Vitamin D products: Taking these at the same time may lead to an overdose.
- Certain diuretics (thiazides): May increase the risk of high blood calcium.
- Digitalis medicines (for heart problems): When taken with high calcium, may cause heart rhythm disturbances.
- L-Dopa (for Parkinson's disease): Vitamin B6 (at doses of 5 mg or more) can reduce the effect of L-Dopa.
ADVERSE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, this can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
- Very rare: Allergic reactions to ingredients may occur. If an allergic reaction happens, stop taking the medicine and consult a doctor.
OVERDOSAGE
There is a risk of Vitamin A and D overdose, especially if combined with other vitamin products.
- Chronic Vitamin A overdose may cause skin dryness, itching, hair problems, fatigue, or bone pain.
- Vitamin D overdose can cause dangerously high calcium levels in the blood.
- Long-term overdoses of vitamin D in pregnancy may cause high calcium levels in the blood, causing malformations or mental disability in the child.
In case of a suspected overdose, contact your doctor immediately.
