Minox

COMPOSITION

Each 100 ml contains : Minoxidil 2 g, 5 g.

DESCRIPTION

Minox (Minoxidil) is a topical solution belonging to the dermatological group of drugs, as it stimulates hair growth through its direct vasodilator effect on surrounding blood vessels. Good results have been obtained in treating baldness with Minoxidil in 50% of patients, and the response rate was high when used immediately after hair loss. Following topical application of Minoxidil, between 0.3% and 4.5% of the total dose is absorbed through the scalp. Minoxidil does not cross the blood-brain barrier but may cross the placenta and is also excreted in breast milk and urine.
