Bisol

COMPOSITION :

Each 5 ml contains : Bromhexine Hydrochloride 4 mg.

Each tablet contains : Bromhexine Hydrochloride 4 mg , 8 mg.

DESCRIPTION :

Bisol (Bromhexine Hydrochloride) is a systemic mucolytic agent. Bisol is rapidly absorbed from the GIT. The

increase in sputum production becomes evident after 2 - 3 days following initiation of therapy. The breakdown of

acid mucopolysaccharide fibers makes the sputum thinner and less viscid and therefore more easily removed by

coughing. Although sputum volume eventually decreases, its viscosity remains low for as long as treatment with

Bisol is maintained.

INDICATIONS :

Bisol is indicated for the treatment of respiratory disorders associated with viscid or excessive mucoid secretions

such as : Asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, pneumoconiosis, chronic inflammatory pulmonary conditions,

bronchiectasis and all forms of tracheobronchitis.

During acute exacerbations of bronchitis Bisol should be given with the appropriate antibiotic.
