📌 COMPOSITION

  • Each 5 ml contains: Triprolidine Hydrochloride 1.25 mg – Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride 30.00 mg – Guaiphenesin 100.00 mg.

📌 DESCRIPTION

  • Triprolidine is a histamine H1‑receptor antagonist.
  • Pseudoephedrine is a sympathomimetic agent and an effective decongestant.
  • Guaiphenesin is an expectorant agent.

📌 INDICATIONS

BIFED-E Syrup is indicated for:

  • Symptomatic relief of upper respiratory tract disorders, including productive cough, inflammations of sinuses and Eustachian tubes.
  • Allergic (seasonal) rhinitis, vasomotor (perennial) rhinitis, hay fever, nasal congestion, common cold and aerotitis.

📌 DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION

BIFED-E Syrup is administered three or four times daily as follows:

Adults and children over 12 years10 ml
Children from 6-12 years5 ml

📌 RESTRICTIONS ON USE

Contraindications
  • Hypersensitivity to any of the components.
  • In patients who are taking or have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) for the last two weeks.
Precautions
  • Avoid concomitant use of BIFED‑E with alcohol or other centrally acting sedatives.
  • Administer with caution to patients with hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, elevated intraocular pressure and prostatic hypertrophy.
Effects on the ability to drive vehicles or use machines

Administer with caution since it may cause drowsiness.

Use in Pregnancy & Lactation

Administer under medical supervision.

📌 DRUG INTERACTIONS

Concomitant use of pseudoephedrine with β‑blockers, guanethidine, methyldopa and MAOIs may cause a rise in blood pressure.

📌 SIDE EFFECTS

  • Mild sedation, drowsiness, nausea and vomiting may occur.
  • Rarely, dizziness, blurred vision and skin rashes may occur.

📌 STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Store below 30°C.
  • Do not refrigerate.
  • Protect from light.
