📌 PROPERTIES

Sodi Vag 4% has a characteristic composition which sterilises the vagina and acts as an antifungal. It has a pH between (7.8-8.8) which balances the vaginal pH and helps the vaginal mucosa to keep its normal activity. Sodi Vag 4% contains purified water especially prepared for vaginal washing.

📌 INDICATIONS

Sodi Vag 4% is used in cases of vaginal fungal infections that are mainly caused by a fungus called Candida albicans, which lives in small numbers on the skin and inside the vagina. The acidic environment of the vagina helps the fungus to grow and cause vaginal infections. The acidic balance of the vagina can be changed by menstruation, pregnancy, diabetes, douche products, some antibiotics, oral contraceptive pills and steroids. Moisture and irritation of the vagina also seem to stimulate fungal growth.

The most common fungal infection symptoms include the following:

• Itching and burning in the vagina and around the vulva.
• A white vaginal discharge that may look like cheese.
• Pain during sexual intercourse.
• Swelling of the vulva.
• Pain with urination.
• Redness and burning of the vagina.

📌 DOSAGE

Twice weekly, or according to the severity and type of infection, or as recommended by the physician.

📌 ADMINISTRATION

• Fill part (B) with the solution that is ready for use in the bottle (use once).
• Connect part (A) with part (B), then slowly insert part (A) into the vagina and press part (B) firmly to douche while standing up in the bath or sitting on the toilet.

Note: Relaxing the body facilitates the insertion of the douche.

Contraindications

Not to be used by pregnant women.

• Wash the applicator with clean water and dry it after use.
