Omezol Fast
📌 COMPOSITION
Each sachet contains:
Omeprazole 40 mg
Sodium bicarbonate 1680 mg.
📌 DESCRIPTION
Omezol Fast (Omeprazole) is a proton‑pump inhibitor. It inhibits the secretion of gastric acid by irreversibly blocking the enzyme system of H⁺/K⁺-ATPase (the proton pump) in the parietal cells. It inhibits both basal and stimulated acid secretion irrespective of the stimulus. Omeprazole is rapidly absorbed and its absorption is not affected by food. Omezol Fast powder for oral suspension is an immediate‑release formulation that contains sodium bicarbonate which raises the gastric pH and thus protects omeprazole from acid degradation.
