📌 COMPOSITION

Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS)

Ingredients: Dextrose, Fructose, Orange Flavor, Cherry Flavor, Grape Flavor, Citric Acid, Potassium Citrate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Citrate, Benzoic Acid, Sucralose, FD&C Yellow #6 and water.

One liter provides: Sodium 45 mEq, Potassium 20 mEq, Chloride 35 mEq, Citrate 30 mEq, Dextrose 20 g, Fructose 5 g.

📌 DESCRIPTION

Kiddilyte® is an oral rehydration solution (ORS) specially designed for children. It replaces fluids, electrolytes, and minerals lost during diarrhoea and vomiting, and prevents dehydration. Its formula matches WHO and UNICEF specifications and is prepared with child‑friendly fruit flavors (Orange, Cherry, Grape) to ensure acceptance.

📌 INDICATIONS

• Prevention and treatment of dehydration due to acute diarrhoea.
• Replacement of fluids, electrolytes, and minerals lost during vomiting.
• Treatment of dehydration caused by fever or excessive sweating.

📌 DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION

• Children under 1 year of age: Consult physician before use.
• Children 1 year and above: The solution is given every 3-4 hours. If diarrhoea persists, the child should take 1-2 liters per day.
• Mix the contents of the sachet with the specified amount of water as directed on the package, and shake well until completely dissolved.
• Drink in small, frequent sips.

📌 WARNINGS

If the child suffers from vomiting, fever, or continuous diarrhoea beyond 24 hours, consult the physician immediately.

📌 CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Acute renal failure with anuria.
• Intestinal obstruction or complete gastrointestinal blockage.
• Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

📌 ADVERSE EFFECTS

When used as directed, no serious side effects are known. Mild bloating or gas may occur due to rapid drinking.

📌 STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

• Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight.
• After opening, store in a refrigerator for no longer than 48 hours.
• Do not use if the expiry date printed on the package has passed.
